MANILA, Philippines – Former Ateneo Blue Eaglet and Batang Gilas mainstay Gian Mamuyac earned an invitation to Stephen Curry's Basketball Camp in the United States in the most impressive way possible.
Mamuyac rejected Curry's potential game-winning three-pointer during a scrimmage in Taiwan, where the Golden State Warriors superstar was making an appearance for Under Armour.
A local Taiwanese celebrity later asked for a replay of the last five seconds of the game, and this time, Curry splashed in the triple.
Nevertheless, the two-time NBA MVP was suitably impressed with Mamuyac, awarding him MVP honors in the event as well as an invitation to his camp in the United States.
Mamuyac is part of the Blue Eaglets' team that won the UAAP juniors title in Season 77.
"The recent happenings are so far the best souvenirs which I would treasure throughout my lifetime," Mamuyac said of his experience in an Instagram post. "Truly one for the books."
