As his usual routine, the President would address the people in a very casual manner without VIP treatment. He wittingly invited young and beautiful girls to sit on his side as a puchline before starting his speech to break the ice. Then he delivered serous matter to the public such as the threat of America, EU and the United Nations to withdraw humanitarian assistance to the country. He said he is not afraid of them even if they conduct investigations on him regarding the extrajudicial killing issue but they should give him a chance to respond and question them back as well.
President Duterte made jokes about him being smarter than any of them because he spent 7 years in High School. He assured the business groups that he will talk to China and even Russia in order to ask for assistance or open business with them when US withdraw their investment from the country.
He again told stories about his younger days when he is still studying as part of the light moments in his speech. There was a point when the guests teased President Duterte to sing and he responded by changing the topic.
